Biomass Crop Assistance Program for FSA

Breaking News:

 

Biomass Crop Assistance Program (BCAP) provides financial assistance to producers or entities that deliver eligible biomass material to designated biomass conversion facilities for use as heat, power, biobased products or biofuels. Initial assistance will be for the Collection, Harvest, Storage and Transportation (CHST) costs associated with the delivery of eligible materials. See more information

 

ARS receives patents for activated carbons

The Agricultural Research Service (ARS) has been issued a patent on a new technology that uses renewable and inexpensive animal by-products to produce activated carbons. These activated carbons are used to purify liquids and gases, recover chemical pollutants, and clean up environmental contaminants. Read entire article

Grants for Renewable Energy Systems and Energy Efficiency Improvements for Agricultural Producers and Small Rural Businesses are available from USDA-Rural Business/Cooperative Service (RBCS). The grant funds may be used to pay 25% of the eligible project costs, with a minimum grant request of $1,500 (total project cost of $6,000) and maximum grant request of $250,000 ($500,000 for Renewable Energy Systems).
